BAM Ireland has successfully completed the vital Snugborough Interchange, a significant infrastructure upgrade for West Dublin, officially opened on 1 November. This complex project, delivered for Fingal County Council, underscores BAM's commitment to sustainable infrastructure solutions and collaborative delivery. Key features include a new second bridge over the N3, dedicated cycleways, and an extensive active travel underpass network, enhancing connectivity between critical local areas like Old Corduff Road, Tolka Valley, and Blanchardstown Village, while improving access to Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. The project addresses crucial network congestion in Dublin 15, promising reduced travel times and enhanced safety for motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians. Its multi-modal design, incorporating new bus lanes and pedestrian crossings, aligns strategically with the National Transport Authority’s Greater Dublin Area Cycle Network Plan, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to urban mobility. This successful delivery, a testament to effective collaboration between BAM, Clifton Scannell Emerson, and Fingal County Council, highlights the value of integrated project teams in executing complex civil engineering works that yield tangible benefits for communities and regional development.
