GRAHAM Interior Fit-Out has been appointed as main contractor for a significant refurbishment project at London Business School (LBS), a mandate reflecting the contractor’s capability in high-profile institutional modernisations. The extensive works will revitalise six upper floors into contemporary open-plan office environments, alongside a reimagined ground floor incorporating new reception, lounge, dining, and meeting facilities. This strategic upgrade aims to significantly enhance LBS’s operational infrastructure and foster an improved setting for learning and collaboration, a key consideration for academic leadership. The project’s technical scope is comprehensive, encompassing a CAT A+ fit-out, new internal partitions, advanced MEP installations, and the integration of two new lifts within existing cores. External works are equally substantial, involving a full window replacement programme, including intricate bay systems, a Level 7 roof renewal, and façade cleaning. Notably, the basement gym will remain fully operational throughout the project lifecycle, presenting a critical logistical challenge requiring meticulous planning. Commencing in August 2025 and slated for completion by mid-June 2026, this undertaking underscores a strategic investment in LBS’s campus fabric. The involvement of a consultant team including Colliers (project manager) and Gardiner & Theobald (quantity surveyor) signals a robust project management framework, indicative of a scheme’s complexity and strategic importance within the built environment sector.
