Sisk officially opens new Cork office
Sisk, Ireland's largest construction firm, has strategically enhanced its operational footprint with the official opening of a new Cork office at City Gate, Mahon. This move, replacing a facility held since 1967, signifies a significant investment in regional capacity and talent attraction, complementing the company's recent relocation of its Irish headquarters in Citywest, Dublin. The Cork office, retrofitted over four months to accommodate over 50 professionals, underscores Sisk's commitment to the Munster region and its broader expansion strategy.
The inauguration, attended by EU Commissioner Michael McGrath, Gary McGann (Chairman, Sicon Ltd), and Paul Brown (CEO, Sisk), highlighted the firm's pivotal role in national infrastructure. CEO Paul Brown emphasised the relocation as a "vote of confidence" in the region and an alignment with the Government’s updated National Development Plan (NDP), which earmarks €275.4bn for public capital investment from 2026 to 2035. Building on successes like the Dunkettle Interchange Upgrade, Sisk positions itself to capitalise on one of the nation’s most ambitious infrastructure programmes. Commissioner McGrath further underscored construction's vital economic contribution across Europe, affirming Sisk's enduring legacy and its role in fostering economic growth and urban renewal. This strategic expansion signals Sisk's preparedness for future large-scale public and private sector commissions. Read More
