Heron Bros begin works at £24m Neilston Learning Campus
Heron Bros Ltd has commenced construction on the £24m Neilston Learning Campus in East Renfrewshire, a strategic public sector investment solidifying its enduring client relationship with East Renfrewshire Council. Initiated with a ground-breaking ceremony on June 24th, this project will consolidate Neilston Primary School, Madras Family Centre, and St Thomas’ Primary School into a cutting-edge, integrated educational hub.
The development adopts a pragmatic phased construction strategy. The new facility is being built adjacent to the operational Neilston Primary, ensuring uninterrupted educational provision throughout the build cycle. Following completion, the existing primary school and family centre will be decommissioned and demolished to facilitate the creation of vital sports infrastructure, including an all-weather football pitch and multi-use games area. This approach exemplifies efficient project delivery, managing site logistics to minimise disruption – a critical value proposition for public sector clients and community stakeholders.
Drawing on a successful track record with the Council, encompassing the five-project Early Learning Expansion 2020 framework and the Joint Faith Schools Campus, Heron Bros demonstrates proven capabilities in delivering complex educational infrastructure. The campus is engineered to provide advanced learning environments, incorporating a dedicated Digi-Zone, specialised STEM facilities, and extensive outdoor spaces, reflecting modern pedagogical demands. This venture highlights the escalating demand for comprehensive educational facilities that offer long-term societal and economic value within community development portfolios. Read More
