Pay deals agreed in Bord na Móna Land and Habitats Division and Gas Networks Ireland
Bord na Móna’s Land and Habitats Division has secured a significant three-year pay agreement, offering crucial labour stability amidst its extensive 'Brown to Green' transition. This development holds particular relevance for the broader construction and infrastructure sector. The structured deal outlines a 3% pay increase in April 2025, a further 3% in April 2026, and 2.5% in April 2027. This framework provides clear visibility on future labour costs for a company increasingly active in tendering for environmental rehabilitation and trail construction projects with the National Parks and Wildlife Service and local authorities. The agreement reinforces existing industrial relations frameworks, including the 2019 Just Transition and 2016 Workplace Relations Commission agreements, fostering predictable workforce conditions. Importantly, it guarantees the preservation of pay and conditions for redeployed staff and establishes clear pathways for voluntary redundancy, addressing key workforce management challenges during operational shifts. Concurrently, Gas Networks Ireland members have ratified a 3.6% pay increase for 2025, further solidifying industrial stability across key Irish semistate utilities. Read More
